Supervision
I am a Senior Accredited counsellor with the NCPS, with 25 years’ experience of supervising counsellors working in organisations such as schools, universities, the voluntary sector and in private practice. I am also an experienced trainer having taught since 1998 on counselling courses at all levels from introduction to Post-Graduate Diploma, and I have been a Course Director at UEA and the Norwich Centre. This has kept me in touch with new developments in the profession and helps to inform my work as a supervisor.
The supervision relationship is one of the most important professional relationships we have as counsellors, and a good relationship with a supervisor who can support you in your work is an essential part of professional practice, but it is also part of self-care and support in a personally demanding profession. You will be looking for supervision for all aspects of your work and my experience as a counsellor, supervisor and trainer all inform my work as a supervisor. If this is what you are looking for please get in touch.
I qualified as a supervisor at the University of East Anglia in 2000, and I offer a supportive, confidential and professional relationship to supervisees so that you can explore and develop your potential, and find direction and fulfilment in your career and personal life, with an appropriate level of support, encouragement, and creative challenge.
My working hours are currently 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. I work online and I offer a free 30 minute initial exploratory session where we can meet and see if we feel we are a good fit to work together. This is an opportunity for us to find out more about each other, and for you to explain what you are looking for. If we decide to go ahead we will draw up a contract for working together and discuss fees and payment.
Information about my current fees is available on the contact page.
